Goals

edi exists to:

		make known to the Jewish people that Jesus of Nazareth is their Messiah
		make Christians aware of their origin in biblical Judaism
		support reconciliation between Palestinian Christian and Jews who believe in Jesus
		to promote a positive attitude to Israel and the Jewish people

edi is committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the "power of God that saves all who believe, Jews first and also Gentiles" (Romans 1:16).

Gospel

We are committed to ensure that the testimony of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, is made known to Jews in Israel, Germany and Europe. That is why we support the building of Messianic Jewish communities in Germany and Israel. This includes the production and distribution of Bibles and religious literature in Hebrew, Russian and German.

Service

We want to meet Jews in the love of Jesus. That is why we support Messianic congregations in Israel and Germany financially and help them in various social projects.

Israel

We explicitly encourage the reconciliation of the peoples of the Middle East. Based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Musalaha - an Israel based ministry - reconciles Palestinian Christians and Messianic Jews. A real step of hope towards peace.

Information

In church services and lectures edi informs about Israel, Judaism and the Messianic Jews. We remind Christians that their roots are based in the biblical Jewish faith and that salvation for all people comes through Jesus Christ, who was a Jew.

Organisation

edi as an independent association, is connected to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg. We are a member of the Württemberg Protestant Association for World Mission (WAW), the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) and an associate member of the Association of Evangelical Missions (aem).

edi finances its operation and projects exclusively by donations. In cooperation with the Evangelical Alliance Germany we want to help churches and communities to take up their responsibility for the Jewish people.

Chairman of edi is Rev. Joachim Rieger. Armin Bachor is General Secretary.
